4K Retro Polished Diner - Unreal Engine 5
I recently embarked on an ambitious 7-day journey to create a 4K retro polished diner in Unreal Engine 5. This project wasn't just about testing my skills—it was about simulating the real pressure of industry deadlines and seeing just how much I could push myself using everything I've learned from my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Advanced 3D Game Art.
Everything you see in the scene is game-ready and crafted by me. From modeling and UV mapping to texturing and building the diner environment in Unreal Engine, I handled it all. I also set up the lighting and post-processing to give the scene that final polished look. The only elements I didn't create from scratch were most of the posters.
The Tools I Used:
Maya: for modelling and UV mapping
Substance Painter: for texturing
Unreal Engine: for building and rendering the environment
Photoshop: for creating textures and posters
After Effects: for video editing and adding those final touches
I'm really proud of this project and what I was able to accomplish in such a short time. It’s a testament to my dedication and what I'm capable of under pressure. I hope it gives you a glimpse of my passion for 3D game art and my readiness for the fast-paced gaming industry.
